Bio-plastics have a lower carbon emission footprint than conventional plastics. Through using bio-palstics we are fighting climate change.
First, bio-plastic disposal is carbon neutral. This is because bio-plastic is made from plants which take carbon from the atmosphere during their growth. Any carbon emitted to the atmosphere on disposal has therefore been previously removed, neutralising its effect.
Second, the process through which bio-plastic is made requires less energy than conventional plastics and thus results in lower carbon emissions.
Thirdly, bio-plastic resin manufacturers use a high percentage of renewable energy.
Lastly, London Bio Packaging provides carbon neutral delivery through offsetting the emissions from distribution with the Woodland Trust.
