The United Nations has identified ‘Environmental Sustainability’ as being of vital importance and has made it one of the 8 Millennium development goals; the core targets to be achieved by 2015 as agreed by all the world’s governments. Of the environmental sustainability issues identified by the UN those with most relevance to the packaging and cleaning product industry are climate change, resource efficiency and waste.

From a Carbon Economy to a Renewable Economy 

Crucial to the world's environmental sustainability in the future is a move away from a carbon based economy to one based on renewables. For too long economies have been based on environmentally destructive oil. The hope for the future is a new economy based on renewable fuels, renewable energy and renewable materials. This renewable future is what London Bio Packaging is working towards.
