Environmentally-friendly Exhibition Stands

This time next week we’ll be at the National Conference Exhibition (NEC) in Birmingham, exhibiting at the Food & Drink Expo.

Not only are we launching two new eco-friendly brands, Sustain & Revive, at the trade event, we’re also keen to exhibit as ‘greenly’ as possible!

We thought we’d share our exhibiting experience so here are 4 quick tips for an environmentally-friendly exhibition stand!

Plan your stand with longevity in mindReusable Exhibition stands

By opting for a pop-up stand with replaceable magnetic panels you can re-use the stand again and again – also saving you money.

Higher quality stands and banners are likely to be more durable.

Avoid too much paper

Rather than printing 100s of 50-page brochures that risk being thrown straight in the bin, go for fewer materials or a laptop or tablet. That way you can properly talk through your products and services with interested visitors.

And where paper is needed, opt for 100% recycled or sustainable forest certified.

Cut down your travelling

Vehicle-pollutionReducing the amount and size of materials – for example, using a flat-pack exhibition stand – allows you to use a smaller, more fuel efficient vehicle.

If the event runs over several days see if you can stay within walking distance of the venue!

Reduce and recycle your stand waste

Minimise the packaging for any refreshments you give away – and try to use packaging that’s either recyclable or compostable.

It’s worth checking the facilities available at the venue – the NEC for example has over 400 recycling bins so recyclable packaging (that’s also clearly labeled as such) will be ideal for the Food and Drink Expo.
