London Bio Packaging believes that to build an ethical business social responsibility should be at the core of everything we do. Our ethos is to make a big impression on our customers, but a small one on the planet by helping businesses and our local community who have similar values to our own. We enjoy working with charities and local communities because we want to give something back and work together toward a better future. As we grow as a business, we hope to offer more support by donating our time, skills and positive energy towards causes in the community.
Our newest partnership is with William Wilberforce Trust (WWT). WWT operates a furniture re-use warehouse in Brentford that is staffed by volunteers undertaking a 16 week Employability Programme. The programme is aimed at those with major barriers to employment, specifically a history of criminal records, homeless, addictions, mental health issues and other vulnerable and marginalised groups. The aim is to tackle these barriers, providing a workplace experience, training and mentoring within a growing social enterprise.
WWT are passionate about recycling, and up cycling furniture to ensure that it goes to a good home. Furthermore, WWT are part of the nationwide Furniture Reuse Network and the London Re-Use Network, a growing and successful industry. These networks are a key part in waste reduction in our country.
